BABY LOSS FAMILY ADVISORS™ BABY LOSS DOULAS®

Locate Baby Loss Advisor™ or Baby Loss Doula® (also known as Bereavement Doula™)

DO YOU NEED SUPPORT?  FIND A Loss Advisor/Loss Doula either in your area or anywhere in the US.  We often help from afar.
How to select a Loss Advisor/Loss Doula for you?
The Loss Advisors are listed under each city/state/country where they provide service.  However, many of these Independent Advisors/Loss Doulas are happy to work with clients outside their area via phone or email.  This is a very common way to give immediate support.

You can receive help from people from afar or local, if there is someone locally.  Feel free to choose anyone if it is not possible to find someone in your area. And f it is not a good fit for some reason, these gentle, loving, wise women will help you find a better match.
Most of the Independent Loss Advisors, some also called Loss Doulas, are comfortable and trained to help in all situations.  If you see they mention 'miscarriage only' or some other identifier, it may help in your decision.

Is there a cost?
Loss Advisors want to help you and won't let money get in the way at this tragic and emotional time.  Our Loss Advisors tell us that fees and/or donations are NOT required in order to receive their caring support and service.

However, if you find their services helpful to you and your family, donations (we call them Love Gifts) are welcomed.  The money may be used for such things as the literature and gifts parents receive, the training the Loss Advisors must take, expenses such as childcare, or even simply honorarium for their service (though many choose to give of themselves for free).   Ask them if your Loss Advisor/Loss Doula if she will accept a gift of money.  If not, we gratefully accept scholarship donations on their behalf to offset the training/material costs that can be up to $600 per person.
You may DONATE directly on our HOME page for scholarships for others to receive training to become a Loss Advisor/Loss Doula . .

Students are in BLUE - they are  NOT certified. Those who are Certified Baby Loss Family Advisors or Baby Loss Doulas are in Red and have fulfilled the requirements for Certification which include: 26 hours of training, countless hours of reading, viewing, responding, applying with references, working with clients and more.

I am available to support families experiencing pregnancy loss, at any stage of pregnancy; infant loss, in the first few months after birth; or who are experiencing difficulties in pregnancy that may lead to a loss.
I offer distance support via video conferencing, phone, or email; however, I especially focus on providing in-person support to families in Southern California (especially L.A., Orange, Kern, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties - other surrounding counties possible for limited in-person support). When offering in-person support I may be able to provide support during birth, help facilitate memory making, or support a family in planning meaningful memorial events. Regardless of the format, I remain eager to connect with families during this difficult chapter and support them in experiencing and expressing the love they hold for their baby. I invite families experiencing loss to reach out at any time using the provided contact.

I have been helping mothers through miscarriage and often after miscarriage, to process their loss and find beneficial ways of healing and remembering their baby, connecting them to local resources, etc. I am also comfortable traveling to Chattanooga or Knoxville, as I have places I can stay in both cities. I have also been helping women remotely, so if someone is not near a Baby Loss Family Advisor, they can contact me for preparing for a D&C, asking for remains, preserving remains temporarily for photos, pain management after miscarriage/loss, and beginning to build memory boxes, etc.

I specialize in miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy and stillbirth. I support families who are struggling to get (or decide if to get) pregnant again. I am really passionate about this work.  do most of my support via phone or email.  I have personally had an ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage. I have supported families through birth after they have received an incompatible with life diagnosis.
I also am a life coach focusing on holistic bereavement support for women who have suffered a pregnancy or infant loss and after the initial loss.  When the rest of the world seems to have moved on and they are still struggling to find their new "normal," I coach and mentor them through all aspects of their lives that have been affected (hence my holistic approach). Sessions are via phone, Skype or FaceTime

The following Independent Certified Baby Loss Family Advisors/Loss Doulas and candidates working on certification are willing to give you support as soon as you learn the news and beyond.  Some are bereaved parents, some are medical/birth professionals, and some are both.

As a bereaved parent myself, I understand how difficult this journey will be, not just today, tomorrow or the weeks ahead, but for the rest of your life. Over the years, I have met and supported many other mom's who have had their baby die, not just in their loss but also in their subsequent pregnancies with their rainbow baby. I am willing to support families going through all types of loss including but not limited to miscarriage, stillbirth, medical termination due to fatal diagnosis, SIDS and infant/neonatal death. I am also available for support throughout subsequent pregnancies as I know it can be an equally scary time for most families.
